A: The answer to both questions is found in this table. From solo to 5-player games, the starting number of cards and coins varies for each player.

A: This means permanently removing those cards from the game. This can happen in various situations, most commonly when you’re suffering fatigue after earning a trophy.

A: The player sits next to the active player, reads the introduction and the two options aloud, and waits for the active player to choose answer A or B. Exploration cards offer two types of results: Instant or Quest. Then, the player reads results of making that choice.

A: Your special ability, because the other attribute can be reduced during combat, exploration, or quests. Improving your special ability is always worth.

Q: What’s a combo?
A: Creating Card Combos represents a Witcher’s ability in
combining the right dodges, magical signs, and swordsmanship. Play 1 or more connected cards from your hand to form a Combo.
FAQ 10: Rise the Shield! The Witcher Old World board game
Q: What shield level should I have?
A: During the game setup and after a fight reset your shield level up to your defense level. Remember Your Shield level may never go above your defense attribute value.
FAQ 11: Level Up! The Witcher Old World board game
Q: When my witcher level up?
A: Once all your Attribute tokens are above your current Witcher Level, you immediately Level up to the next Level. Don’t forget to draw the appropriate number of cards from your Action Deck.

Q: How can I reach level 5 in an attribute and what are the benefits?
A: There is no special rule to reach Level 5 of an attribute; however, once you reach Level 5 in an Attribute, it can no longer be lowered for any reason. Additionally, if you have reached the highest level, you can Meditate to obtain an Attribute Trophy Card. Remember that you cannot win the game with a Trophy obtained through Meditation or obtain an Attribute Trophy Card if another player has already done so.
FAQ 13: 7 is the Limit. The Witcher Old World board game
Q: What’s the hand limit? how many cards can I have?
A: Your Hand-Limit is 7 cards: if you have 7 cards in your hand, and you are supposed to draw any number of additional cards, stop drawing additional cards; the effect is lost.
FAQ 14: Never fight at Witcher schools! The Witcher Old World board game
Q: Where can I challenge other witchers?
A: Anywhere except witcher schools or closed taverns.
FAQ 15: Drink that damned potion! The Witcher Old World board game
Q: How many potions I can have?
A: You may have up to 4 Potions at a time, regardless of your Alchemy level.
During the fight you may use 1 or more Potions, up to your Alchemy level.
The Alchemy level limit the number of Potions that you can use in total during an entire Fight
If you for anyreasons exceed the limit of 4 Potions, discard any chosen Potion down to 4.

Q: Can I perform action in my starting location?
A: You Must Move at least once. You can’t begin your Turn by performing Actions in your Location.
FAQ 17: Trail Quest. The Witcher Old World board game
Q: How to set a Trail for a quest?
A: First, the player gets 1 Gold, then selects a Monster to track. They draw a terrain token of the same type of the monster and place it in the location indicated by the number on the token, with an additional Gold from the bank above it, creating a Trail Quest. The location cannot match the current player location.
